The BT8040 is the latest release of Bluetooth products from Jabra. The BT8040 is ultralight (only 0.35oz or 10g) and uses Multipoint technology which combines Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology (enhances sound quality); while Intelligent Volume Settings (equalizes incoming audio volume) allows you to actually focus on the caller rather than the sounds around you. In addition, if you are listening to music when a call comes in the devise will pause until the call is completes.
With up to 6 hours talk time and 200 hours standby time this little device comes packed a USB charging cable, a wall charger and seven spare ear gels (2 small, 2 medium and 3 large). The BT8040 is an “in-ear” design. If you are looking for on-ear instead of in-ear design you might want to check out the BT8000 or the Jawbone Bluetooth headset.
Jabra’s BT8040 is available anywhere online and in retail stores through Best Buy, Wireless Wave, Telephone Booth and Bell Mobility stores for $99.99.
