LG Electronics has completed the development of a decoder chip which is compatible for mobile TV standards in Korea, Japan and the Europe. The decoder chip allows portable devices like mobile phones and GPS navigations to receive a TV signal. LG Electronics plans to adopt the chip to those mobile phones which will be exported to Japan and the Europe next year.
