The Palm Centro is an affordable entry level smarthphone that can be found at Rogers Wireless. The price is $199 for existing customers, or $299 for new customers.
We were thrilled to open the box and find the Centro is lighter (119 grams) and smaller (107 x 54 x 18.5 mm) than the previous Palm devices. This has the ability to keep you connected through email, text, phone and Instant messenger. In addition, you can use the 1.3 mega pixel camera to capture the pics you want… it comes loaded with video capabilities as well. With the introduction of the iPhone and BlackBerry Bold this might be a great alternative as it can play music (thought Pocket Tunes) and can upload a few games to it too.
It is a light devise with a full QWERTY keyboard and operates on the Palm OS. With all Palm smartphones, this comes with a stylis and has a touchscreen which makes it easier to navigate quickly to the applications you want. Apart from the standard features such as phone, calendar, contacts, calculator this is great addition to the Canadian market.
