Google released a beta version of Google Sync for the iPhone and Windows Mobile phones (it also supports Symbian and BlackBerry devices).
Google Sync allows you to synchronizing your Gmail contacts and Google Calendar events to your phone. Everything works in the “background” so if you loose your phone and get another one it’s easy to sync up everything because it’s stored on your Google account. Check out this video demo
