I’m hoping this never comes to Canada… this is far worse than the red laser pen. Apparently in St. Charles, Illinois there is testing going on that allows people viewing a movie to text/Twitter comments directly onto the movie screen in real time … these comments show at the bottom of the screen.
“MuVChat” was created by Rien Heald and he sat down with the Chicago Herald where he described this experience as “a mash-up of ‘Mystery Science Theater 3000’ and Twitter”… right. On average, each person sent about 40 comments per movie.
For me, I go to the movies to be entertained, not annoyed and distracted. Check out this quick video of how it would actually looks:
