The federal government ordered the City of Charlottetown to start building a Rogers Wireless cellphone tower and the local residents are not pleased at all. Even though construction has already begun, a petition has been started but the city councillors say they can’t stop it as it was an initiative conceived by Industry Canada.
Catherine Mullally said “This issue is a health issue as far as we’re concerned. And we feel Industry Canada is out of line in requiring the City of Charlottetown to issue a building permit, which they did.”More here at CBC
