RIM announced the BlackBerry Visor Mount VM 605 a few weeks ago (still showing “coming soon” on their site) and we got our hands on one. This will be a good addition to any Canadian looking to save a bit of money and not get a nasty ticket by the police. More and more we’ll see new laws coming into effect that will ban the use of handheld devices while driving. The VM-605 is just one that you can consider getting.
It’s certainly not small but is unobtrusive. The VM-605 measures 4.84 x 2.27 x 0.63 inches and weighs in at only 86 grams. This charges up by micro USB and comes with a car charger via your power outlet. The style goes hand in hand with their current devices, all black and very sleek looking.
We gave this a go on the Telus Tour 9630 and was simple to use and has echo and noise cancellation so there will be no disturbances. This will give you the ability to focus on driving and also you’ll be able to answer, end, ignore, mute and redial your calls. Plus as this is a stereo Bluetooth you can listen to your music that’s in your device via the VM-605 or your cars speakers. This retails for $119 Canadian. Check out the video review here
