Special thanks to “Treatz” for letting us know that the sweet looking BlackBerry Bold 9700 has started shipping to Rogers locations. No official word on a launch date but one can assume that it’ll be within the next few days and those who want this will have it in their hands by end of next week.
The Rogers Bold 9700 can be yours for $299.99 on a 3-year contract with a minimum $45 Voice & Data plan.
Some key specs that RIM released last week on the 9700 are that it has a full QWERTY keyboard with the new addition of the trackpad (no more trackball), can do all your e-mail and IM, has an Internal memory of 256MB and can hold up to 32GB with a microSD card, 2.4 inch HVGA display (resolution of 480×360), 3.2 MP camera with auto focus, image stabilization, flash, 2X digital zoom and video capabilities, Wi-Fi connectivity, full HTML browser, GPS Nav and BlackBerry Maps, Bluetooth v2.1, 3.5 mm headset jack. The overall dimensions are 109 mm x 60 mm x 14.1 mm and weighs in at 122 grams.
We’re still waiting to see if the Rogers version will be UMA compatibility (Rogers Talkspot). We’ll update you shortly.
Thanks Treatz!
