Now that Chatr has launched in their 5 core cities (Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa and Vancouver) the only thing remaining is to launch in Montreal. We hear this will be coming soon. In the meantime Chatr is poised to bring on another device – the Nokia 2220.
We’ve seen this before at Fido, Petro-Canada and 7Eleven Speak out Wireless at various prices. Fido has this for $65 no-contract, Petro-Canada has this for $79 and SpeakOut for $89. Chatr is apparently set to release the 2220 for $70. We have yet to get an official release date but specs have this slider with a 1.8-inch display (resolution of 128×160), VGA camera with video capabilities, FM radio and overall dimensions are 97.2 x 47 x 15.85 mm with a weight of 94 grams.
