Text messaging in Canada is on the rise again. Statistics from the CWTA (Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association) show that in June 2010 Canadians sent 154 million text messages a day. This brings the total to 4.6 billion a month. Other stats released show the 6-month mark for text messaging increased for a total of 25.7 billion. Not to diminish the number… but it would have been higher if Twitter was not around. Some people have recently opted to use their service over text messaging.
