The distribution partnerships for wireless carriers continues to expand. New entrant Mobilicity recently announced a deal with 7-eleven locations to sell their devices and today they announced that hmv will carry their products. Toronto and Ottawa hmv locations will be outfitted with a Mobilicity display sometime “this holiday season”.
Doug Perry, Mobilicity’s VP of Sales, stated that “there are a lot of synergies between Mobilicity, hmv and the customers we share. As wireless continues to play a growing role in Canadians’ lives, we want to make it easy and affordable for consumers to get quality 3G wireless service where they shop.”
Hopefully they expand this partnership and bring some exclusive music/movie downloads.
