The “Quietly Brilliant” mobile manufacturer HTC might need to change their tag line next year to something like “Quietly Dominating”. Reports from DigiTimes state that in 2011 they plan to produce a whopping 60 million handsets. This is triple the 2010 volume.
“HTC has reportedly informed its suppliers that it will eventually need parts and components for the production of up to 60 million handsets in 2011”.
Next year we will most likely see more Android handsets such as the HTC Desire HD and more Windows Phone 7 devices. This year there were a number of stellar phones that HTC put out in Canada: HTC Desire, Desire Z, Surround and Legend.
