Last night CEO of Mobilicity Dave Dobbin had a meet up with a few Howard Forums members and disclosed some upcoming wireless plans. First, they will have a handset refresh starting in February… plus after the upcoming Calgary launch there will be no more new cities added – just expanding and improving their current network. Next, is regarding the Android-powered Google Nexus S.
A couple weeks back at CES we spoke with Samsung Electronic Canada’s Vice President Paul Brennan and he stated the Nexus S will be available sometime during Q1 in Canada. Dobbin said last night that they will be releasing the device and also confirmed that Rogers, Bell and TELUS will be doing so also.
“The Nexus S is going to everybody, so we’ll have it. It will be AWS band. And Bell, TELUS and Rogers will have it. I mean everybody will have the phone. So nothing special about it… it will be all over the place… so the Nexus S will I think will be available in March”.
Check out the video after the break – the goodness starts at the 2:30 point.
