Corning’s Gorilla Glass has a new competitor. Asahi Glass is Japan’s largest glass maker and they’ve created a product called “Dragontrail” that will be used in mobile devices and tablets. This new glass is ultra-strong, scratchproof, can take random drops without shattering and in the video they show how the glass can bend and withstand 60kg of direct pressure. Apparently Dragontrail will go into production in 2012.
