Fido has released a few new devices over the past couple weeks and also revamped and added a couple new Unlimited plans. It now seems they are looking to bring on more customers and also clear current stock of the BlackBerry Curve 8520. This device was officially released 1-year ago and starting February 23rd (tomorrow) new and existing customers will be able to get themselves an 8520 for $75 on a 2-year voice contract (used to be $350). Starting February 23, 2011, customers will be able to;
1. Get a BlackBerry Curve 8520 for only $75 on a 2-year term voice plan on select $35+ plans
2. Activate a BlackBerry Curve 8520 on Unlimited City Fido or other in market plans with a monthly service fee of $35+ and get unlimited BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) at no extra cost.
Only the following plans are eligible;
$35 Unlimited City Fido
$35 plan with 350 minutes, Unlimited Evenings and Weekends 7pm and Unlimited text
$50 plan with 750 minutes, Unlimited Evenings and Weekends 7pm and Unlimited text
$70 plan with 2,000 minutes, Unlimited Evenings and Weekends 7pm and Unlimited text
Restrictions
Available only on the in market plans listed above
You cannot add the $10 Unlimited Browsing and Social Networking add-on to a BlackBerry 8520
You cannot get the BBM only service with any Unlimited Messaging add-on or value pack, it must be activated on a plan
