This deserves some acknowledgement and recognition. Quebec-based Videotron is the first official carrier to launch the Nexus S – or at least put the Android 2.3 powered device up for sale on their website. As expected they are selling this for $529.95 no-contract or $149.95 on a “reduced rate” with a $40 monthly plan or more.
So not only does Videotron have the Nexus S but they also have the Nexus One available too. The Nexus S will be available through various carriers in Canada (Rogers, Bell, TELUS, Fido, Koodo, Mobilicity and WIND) at scattered price points. The specs have it coming with NFC capabilities, 4-inch Super AMOLED display, 1 GHz Hummingbird processor, 5 magapixel camera with autofocus and video, Wi-Fi and ability to create a Wi-Fi hotspot.
