The Android 2.2 powered LG Optimus Black Skype Edition is now available over at Future Shop and Best Buy (it’s not yet listed on the TELUS site but will most likely be soon). We had some hands-on time with this last week and the phone felt good in the hand and pocket, comes in at 9.2 mm thin with a 4-inch NOVA touchscreen display that’s made of Gorilla Glass (has a resolution of 480 x 800), 1500 mAh battery, Wi-Fi, 5 megapixel that can record 720p videos and also has a 2 megapixel front facing camera which is perfect for those Skype calls.
This is up for sale for $49.99 on a 3-year and we’ve been informed that it’ll be eventually upgraded to OS 2.3.
Update: This is now live on the TELUS site. No-term price is a respectable $399.99.
