RIM has officially released BlackBerry Messenger 6 (BBM 6) to the masses today. The biggest update to the popular messaging service is the support of connected apps, giving all 45 million BBM users the ability to communicate within an app. Currently there are 23 apps that have this feature (see here) such as foursquare, Poynt, PhotoBooth, ScoreMobile. RIM says with BBM connected apps you can share your app experiences and discover new ones as well. With this update RIM made BBM just a bit more social.
