If you haven’t heard of Sonos, it is the simplest and most versatile way to add music wirelessly to your home. While the initial investment is quite expensive, its WiFi-enabled structure means you can literally stream your entire music collection to any speakers in the house.
Today, the company has announced that it is adding a couple new features to the mix. They have updated their free Android application to support Honeycomb tablets — previously it was only available on phones — and they are adding Slacker Radio support in Canada. Basic Slacker Radio access is free, punctuated by ads, and goes up to $9.99/month for on-demand music selection. The Sonos app can now set alarms, and tweet what you’re listening to.
The update to version 3.6 also adds some cool features to the main system, too. In addition to Apple’s AAC+ codec support, they company is launching Sonos Labs where users can try out new features before they’re released publicly.
