The HTC Ville looks to be a pretty sweet smartphone, 8mm thin with Ice Cream Sandwich and a 1.5Ghz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor. But Pocketnow has received word that the 4.3-inch qHD device will be AWS-compatible, and will likely debut on T-Mobile in the U.S. As a result it may come to WIND and Mobilicity in the future.
HTC is also to introduce, alongside its reading and gaming hubs titled HTC Read and Play respectively, a service known as Family. This HTC-only service will allow family members to leave messages on an internal wall, and track other members as they go along their daily business. It’s an enclosed system, but for families who invest completely in the HTC ecosystem (which is becoming decidedly more separate from the Android ecosystem).
The Ville may also be one of the first Android devices to include Snapdragon’s new MSM8960 chipset. While it may be dual-core, it has a significantly faster Adreno 225 GPU and a more efficient 28nm architecture. And, judging from the massive 16MP camera on the Titan 2, the Ville may just have the same.
We’ll bring more as Mobile World Congress edges closer — no rest for the wicked, eh?
