LG has officially announced the LG Optimus Pad LTE. This is their first LTE tablet and although it’s heading to Korea first, I’ve got a hunch we’ll see one, or at least a couple, of our carriers (Rogers, Bell or TELUS) announce it’s availability soon. As for specs, this will come with Android OS 3.2 Honeycomb – no word on OS 4.0 upgrade – and has an 8.9-inch IPS True HD Display with a resolution of 1280 x 768. In addition to the LTE speeds, the Optimus Pad LTE has a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8MP camera with a 2MP front-facing camera and is the “world’s first tablet to support an SD memory card expandable to 32GB”. LG states the overall dimensions are 9.34mm thin and weighs “in at a svelte 479g”. There’s no word on a price point or a clear launch date.
