This is interesting. What could be North America‘s first Intel Medfield-powered smartphone may have Motorola’s lineage written all over it, including an updated version of not-Motoblur (Notoblur?) running an x86 version of Ice Cream Sandwich.
The render has all the making of a Motorola device, including the RAZR-like boxiness and machine-bezelled side buttons. That right side looks a bit busy (are those screws or individual buttons?) but we’re all for the all-metal build quality and lack of capacitive buttons.
It also looks to have a Motorola-infused Ice Cream Sandwich ROM running underneath, including some sweet-looking circular widgets. The Medfield chip comes with some powerful camera functions, and the phone could boast instant-shutter and 15fps continuous shooting.
More is expected to be announced at Mobile World Congress in a couple weeks, but in the meantime let us know if you’d be interested in an Intel-powered chip like this.
