Samsung itself has seemed to drop a small bomb on us this morning by revealing, in a MWC invitation no less, that it will be debuting a product called the Galaxy Note 10.1. Now, this could just be a slip-up, but it is mentioned in the same line as the Galaxy Note 5.3 for an event in which developers will learn how to create beautiful apps for the S-Pen platform during Samsung’s Developer Day. Hmm…
The company revealed last month that it is considering bringing the S Pen to alternative form factors, so the Note 10.1 would fit right in. A Samsung rep said, “I think a pen interface continues to make a lot of sense across a number of screen sizes, like the larger is more obvious of those. That’s about as specific as I can be without announcing a product.”
The Verge went on to discover that Samsung put out a call for an actor to portray someone using a Note 10.1 for “education, financial planning and art.”
What would the Note 10.1 look like? Imagine a thin, Tegra 3-powered S Pen-enabled tablet with a high-res screen and long battery life, running Ice Cream Sandwich. I’d have a bite of that.
