The long-awaited and much-delayed Android 4.0.3 update for the original Asus Transformer will be pushed out over the air starting February 24th. Asus announced today on its Facebook page that it is rolling out the upgraded software in stages, so it may take a few days for your device to get the notification. For those who saw the original “early February” promised date come and go, this is going to be bittersweet, but at least we can finally say Asus is keeping to its revised, revised promise.
It will be issued as an over-the-air update, and you will receive notice of it in your status bar. Asus also mentioned they are bringing some interesting products to MWC, likely the PadFone and a couple revised Transformer Prime models, so we’ll have to wait and see for that.
Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich will begin rolling out to the Eee Pad Transformer TF101 tomorrow February 24th to the North American market.
