HTC has a solid handset lineup for 2012, a couple devices that pack quad-core processors and OS 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. The 3 devices that were officially announced were the HTC One X, One S and the One V. At the time of the unveiling there was no formal announcement of a Canadian release, but hidden in the press release gives some insight of when and who will be releasing these Androids.
HTC stated that “With unprecedented excitement, the HTC One series will begin shipping in April with broad global availability available beginning in April through more than 140 mobile operators and distributors globally”. This was followed by a list of the 140 carriers, including several Canadian ones. The Canadian listing were as follows, but no specific details on what devices to which carriers: Bell Mobility, Fido, Rogers Communications, TELUS and Virgin Mobile.
However, HTC put up a pre-registration page for the HTC One series of device and when you click to “learn more”, Rogers name came up for the HTC One X, yet another LTE-enabled device. We’re not sure yet if Bell or TELUS, our other LTE carriers, will pick this up.
