Windows Phone users have been pining for the official Skype app for some time. It become even more desired when Microsoft gobbled up Skype last year, but alas, the app has now entered into a beta release. The app is free to download, currently only in English, and gives you the ability to make free audio and video calls over Wi-Fi or through 3G/4G. You’ll have to have Windows Phone 7.5 Mango and Skype says they’ve “tested and certified the following devices for the best performance”: Nokia Lumia 710, Nokia Lumia 800, HTC Titan, HTC Radar, Samsung Focus S and the Samsung Focus Flash. Full rollout will be available in April.
