New SwiftKey beta fixed bugs, adds dedicated comma button

The SwiftKey 3.0 beta for Android was released last month to great reviews, but it was a huge departure in terms of features from the previous build, and aspired to significantly widen the spacebar by combining the puntuation keys into an all-encompassing button.

The technique takes a while to get used to, but I found it actually helped my workflow overall. SwiftKey has updated the beta, which expires on June 12th, to version 3.0.0.190, fixing a number of bugs and adding a dedicated comma button to ease users’ pains.

Along with that important addition, the entire changelog is below:

– Refined the Smart Punctuation pop-up.
– Reintroduced the Long-press duration setting.
– Improved Smart Space functionality.
– Further reduced lag on some devices.
– Fixed a number of bugs, including the missing decimal point in the numpad and the “What’s New” dialog popping up all the time.

To download the latest Android beta, you have to be a SwiftKey VIP member, which you can do by logging onto their forum.
