During RIM’s BlackBerry 10 Jam at BlackBerry World 2012 last week Alex Saunders, RIM’s VP of Developer Relations, said they were taking the show on the road. Developers who weren’t able to attend the big event can experience “insights on the BlackBerry 10 platform” at various global stops. In total the BlackBerry 10 Jam World Tour was hitting over 12 countries, for us Canadians it was supposed to be Toronto and Montreal (see here). Taking a look at the dedicated website shows the date for Toronto has been set for June 21st, but Montreal is MIA.
Attendees might walk away with a BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha device, plus connecting and networking with other developers, and most importantly, learn how to “build a better app” based on the BB 10 OS.
RIM is expected to release their first BlackBerry 10 OS smartphone, possibly the London, “in the latter part of 2012.”
