Gameloft’s Halo clone, N.O.V.A., has been one of most successful mobile FPS franchises in mobile history. It’s often used as a showcase for the latest graphics chipsets, and it happens to look great on smartphones and tablets both.
N.O.V.A. 3 has 10 levels that span a few hours of the single player campaign, and multiplayer has been expanded from 10- to 12-player over six modes. The title also incorporates multi-person vehicles over multiplayer, something that no game has done before.
In terms of graphics, Gameloft quotes: “Discover the new FPS benchmark for graphics and gameplay (real-time shadow & lights, particle system, ragdoll physics, etc).” Pretty impressive stuff. You’ll need 2GB of internal storage and a pretty hefty (read: modern) device, but if that’s your thing N.O.V.A. 3 is available for $6.99 from Google Play.
