The New York Times app was introduced almost a year ago for Windows Phone, but it was pretty bare bones. It lacked essential Mango features such as Live Tile support, fast-app switching and more.
Today’s update brings the app to 2.0 and it’s a pretty nice upgrade. You have Live Tiles, cloud integration, an improved Metro-based design and fast-app switching. The app also enforces a paywall for some articles — unless you’re a digital NY Times subscriber you won’t have access to certain content.
If you’re a news lover and a Windows Phone user, download the updated New York Times app from the Marketplace.
