Archos isn’t a household name in Canada, but the company seems to have found some success with its line of low-cost Android tablets, as it is releasing a slew of them in the coming months. The first one, a 9.7-inch slate running Android 4.0, will be fully Google-certified with access to Play Store, and is replete with a 1Ghz ARM processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and a 1024×768 4:3 ratio IPS screen.
The tablet also comes with front and rear cameras of unknown capabilities, but we’d imagine for the $249.99 price they aren’t particularly noteworthy. The 11.43mm tablet comes with a HDMI-out port and expandable storage via microSD card slot.
As of now, the tablet has not been announced for Canadian availability but we’ll let you know when it arrives. It comes to the U.S. this month.
