RIM’s big day – their big comeback to glory – is happening on January 30th. This is when they’ll show off all the features of the new BlackBerry 10 OS and officially reveal the design and specs of their two BlackBerry 10 smartphones.
Over the past year RIM has held numerous “BlackBerry Jam” sessions around the world. This 1-day workshop gave developers a look into BB10 and how developing apps would profitable. In addition, RIM recently targeted their enterprise clients by announcing the “BlackBerry 10 Ready Program” that gives out one free BlackBerry 10 device, plus offered up several webcasts sessions to ensure a smooth transition to BB10.
Now that the tables are shifting towards adoption, RIM is continuing to focus on their customers. Today they announced the “BlackBerry Experience Forum.” This is a free one-day event that offers BB10 demos and breakout sessions to “help employees make the most of every business opportunity with the smarter, faster BlackBerry smartphone powered by BlackBerry 10.”
Seems like everything is coming together. The first event kicks off on Monday, February 4th in Toronto. Other Canadian locations are in Vancouver on February 13th, then Montreal on February 19th. There’s still no world on the official launch dates for the devices, but we’re hearing it’ll be within the first week of being announced – so possibly that Feb. 4th date could be the go live date for all.
