A bunch of new Samsung Galaxy S IV rumours have arrived online again. This miraculously happens every few weeks and always occurs on the same day. Here’s a brief summary:
Samsung’s next flagship – possibly called the Galaxy S IV – has a new internal code name of “Altius(J),” which apparently means “higher” in Latin. This device will reportedly ship during week 16, this is the week of April 15th. The Altius will come in black and white. As for further details on specs, the model number is GT-I9500 and will sport a 2600 mAh battery. In addition, this new flagship will have wireless charging capabilities and Samsung will sell a separate back cover – hinting that the backing can be removed – and a dock a few weeks after the device launches. Finally, according to a report by a Korean paper, Samsung is potentially looking at holding an “Unpacked” event in the U.S. on March 22nd.
Previous rumoured specs pointed towards the GS IV coming with a 4.99-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display (440 PPI), Samsung’s new Exynos 5 Octa processor, 2GB of RAM, 13MP that shoots 1080p HD videos, 2MP front-facing camera and running Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean.
