RIM is continuing to shift gears before their big BlackBerry 10 unveiling on January 30th. Yesterday they announced that their BlackBerry App World storefront changed names to simply “BlackBerry World.” This was also the name of their yearly conference, but they’ve decided to rebrand that experience too. The new name is “BlackBerry Live” and according to RIM the “timing couldn’t be better.”
The conference heads back to Orlando on May 14-16th and will have the usual keynotes, workshops, plus we’ll also get to “hear what’s next for BlackBerry.” Registration is not yet open and RIM promises to present us with a “sneak peak” soon. These dates also coincide with Google’s annual Google I/O developer conference on May 15-17th.
