Rogers was first to launch the uber entry level Nokia Lumia 710 last February. Because it was a Windows Phone 7 device, its life is coming to an end in the Canadian market. Stock of the 710 might be found within Rogers stores, but it has been completely removed from its online store. The reason is because Rogers is prepping for a new low-cost Windows Phone 8 device to add to their lineup. We’ve been informed that the Lumia 620 will come to our fine land and has a targeted release scheduled for March. The price will come in under $300 outright.
As for specs of the Lumia 620, it comes in multiple “dual-shot” colours, runs Windows Phone 8, has a 3.8-inch display (800×480), a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Plus processor, 512MB RAM, 8GB internal storage (expandable), 5MP camera that captures 720p video, WiFi, NFC and Bluetooth 3.0.
It may not be the Lumia 820 that many have been waiting for, but the 620 looks to be a fine replacement for the aging Lumia 710.
We’ll have more info on this release shortly.
