TELUS has started taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S 4 today. The price is set at $199 on a 3-year term and TELUS encourages you to “Be one of the first to pre-order your Samsung GALAXY S4 and get it up to 1 week before it’s available in stores*.” The asterisk fine print says “While quantities last. Limited quantities, so act quick.” The “device balance is $501, which means that the outright price is $700. This is the 16GB version.
TELUS is enticing those to pre-order the Galaxy S 4 by giving them a 6-month from Rdio subscription.
Finally, TELUS also notes that “Devices will begin shipping April 26th. Please allow 1-3 business days for delivery.” Looks like those who pre-order will be the first to get hold of the GS 4, while all others will have to wait until the official launch date of May 3rd.
Update: Samsung Canada has announced on Twitter that “The GALAXY S4 begins arriving April 27th. Pre-order it with carriers starting today to have it first.”
Update #2: Bell, Virgin, and Rogers have also gone live with Galaxy S 4 pre-orders. Same price for the 16GB version at $199.95 on a 3-year, $699.95 outright.
Update #3: Videotron has also started pre-orders, but they have the lowest outright price at $649.95. “Reduced Price” is still $199.95.
