3-months have gone by since BlackBerry released its first BlackBerry 10 powered smartphone, the BlackBerry Z10. Now with a couple weeks until the anticipated launch of the Q10, retailer Canadian Tire has declared that they’re fully embracing BlackBerry 10 within their company.
According to the press release, employees across all their lines of business will be using the Z10 and Q10 as their “primary business device.” There’s no specific number as to how many, just that “several thousand units in the coming months.”
“Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited announced today that it has selected BlackBerry as its official smartphone for its corporate team across Canada. Beginning at the end of April, employees from across its Family of Companies – including Canadian Tire, Financial Services, Mark’s and FGL Sports (Sport Chek, Sports Experts, National Sports and Atmosphere) – will use BlackBerry 10 smartphones as their primary business device. The Company is deploying several thousand units in the coming months, comprised of a mix of BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry Q10 smartphones.”
Another good sign that BlackBerry is turning things around.
