The Samsung Galaxy Mega will be available in Canada this coming week. So far the carriers on board are Rogers, Bell, TELUS, Koodo, SaskTel and we’re hearing the official launch date is set for August 29th.
Specs of the large phablet include a 6.3-inch 720p display, 1.7Ghz dual-core processor, 16GB internal memory (holds up to 64GB with a microSD card), 1.5GB RAM, 3,200 mAh battery, 8MP camera and a 1.9MP front-facing camera, runs Android OS 4.2.2.
According to a Rogers document we received notes “the GALAXY MEGA delivers a mobile experience that is larger than life” and is targeted towards those aged 16 to 29 who “want a large screen device for entertainment and content consumption. Price conscious/value/without sacrificing functionality.” The price you can expect to see on launch day is $499.99 no-term and $99.99 on a 2-year.
We’re currently reviewing the Galaxy Mega, but have a looks at out early preview here.
