WIND has officially expanded their phablet lineup and launched the Huawei Ascend Mate.
This is a huge smartphone/tablet. We had our hands-on time with this Android 4.1 Jelly Bean device back in January at CES and, for the price, it’s something to think about. WIND has priced the Ascend Mate at $99 on WINDtab or $399 outright.
WIND notes the Huawei Ascend Mate has “the visual experience of a tablet and the convenience of a mobile phone” and “have been merged into one portable powerhouse.” Specs have it coming with a 6.1-inch 1280×720 display, 1.5Ghz quad-core K3V2 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 8MP camera that captures 1080p HD videos, 4050 mAh battery that reportedly gives “up to two days of usage on a single charge.”
