For the past week, Android users have been able to pay very little to get six awesome games through the Humble Mobile Bundle. We’ve focused on these charity-friendly events a number of times before, but this one looks to be the best one ever.
The pay-what-you-want system raises money for the developers, Child’s Play Charity, and the Humble Bundle creators themselves, and users can choose how much to allot to each category. The original games included Star Command, Time Surfer, Punch Quest, Bloons TD 5, Carmageddon and Ravensword: Shadowlands, six titles that would be worth over $20 if purchased individually (and many times more if reviewed for quality). Now, customers why pay over the $4.55 minimum will also get QWOP, Karateka Classic and God of Blades, three more excellent titles.
In other words, if you’re an Android user you have no reason not to spend some money tonight.
The games are DRM-free and can be downloaded through the Humble Bundle Play Store app, which also facilitates updates and re-downloads on new devices. Currently, the Humble Mobile Bundle 2 has generated nearly $570,000 with over 125,000 purchases contributing an average of $4.55.
