The HTC Desire – also known as the Desire 601 – has been released by Fido. This entry-level Android is priced accordingly at $0 on 2-year or $300 outright. Certainly a good deal for the specs.
The Desire has a 4.5 inch display (540 x 960 pixel resolution), LTE-connectivity, a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, a 5MP camera that captures 1080p HD videos, a 2100 mAh battery, dual front stereo speakers and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The Desire 601 is also available in white and red (which is exclusively at Rogers and Fido).
Update: Rogers has also made the Desire 601 available today. Same prices and colours.
