SeatGeek, a service that offers the best deals for many concerts and sports events by aggregating available tickets from a number of sources, has released an Android app.
Previously available on the web and iOS, the Android app works much like Hipmunk does for for air tickets: it aggregates available tickets based on location and price and outlines the best value, not just the cheapest or closest to the stage.
Tickets are ranked from 1 to 100, and are sourced from popular and reputable sellers like Ticketmaster, StubHub and TicketsNow. The app is reasonably well-designed, and offers tickets to many popular Canadian sports teams and concerts. You can also view seating charts of the prospective venues, allowing you to decide how far back — or how close to the front — is reasonable for the price.
The app is similar to recently-released Applauze, which recently expanded to five Canadian cities.
