The delicious, delicious rumours of a potential “Lite” version of the Galaxy Note 3 appear to be true. GSM Arena has copped some product positioning documents which clearly display the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo nestled between the Note 2 and the Note 3.
The positioning makes sense, as the device appears to be a weird amalgam of Note 2 and Note 3 specs and features. The Note 3 Neo features the Note 2’s display (5.55” Super AMOLED), camera (8MP), battery (3100 mAh), and memory (2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage), but the Note 3’s radios, sensors, and OS (Android 4.3 Jelly Bean).
Interestingly, the Note 3 Neo features its own unique processor, resting smack dab between its two siblings at 1.7GHz Dual + 1.3GHz quad-core (Hexa). Final dimensions for the device don’t seem to be fully set either, but hopefully its unfinished nature won’t stop us from sneaking a peak at Mobile World Congress in February.
