A successor to the HTC One has been rumoured for months. Mobile World Congress is coming up in February and HTC is expected to officially unveil its next flagship then.
Many names have been flying around for the next HTC One, but it’s commonly goes by the codename of M8. Previous reports indicated that we’ll see an increased screen size from the original 4.7-inch One to a 5-inch. In addition, reputable device leaker @evleaks declared in November that his sources ensured the M8 will run KitKat with Sense 6.0 and sport a 1080p display with a 2.3GHz Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor.
The latest comes from Bloomberg’s “person with direct knowledge of the plans” who says HTC will indeed come to market with a 5-inch flagship. The article also pointed towards a March availability along with a “twin-sensor rear camera.” In addition, HTC could be keeping the One name and the overall design will be reportedly be similar to “last year’s version.” So this seems more of a refresh than a brand new phone.
No indication of how Robert Downey Jr. will help out.
