Samsung has continued its foray into Canadian retail by opening its third “Samsung Experience Store” in West Edmonton Mall. The 2,200 square foot location offers a similar experience to the stores in Burnaby and Richmond, British Columbia by letting customers peruse and buy their latest tablets, smartphones, notebook PCs, connected cameras, Galaxy Gear smart watch and accessories.
James Politeski, President of Samsung Canada, said “as a brand, we continue to dedicate resources focused on expanding our national retail presence in Canada in order to get closer to our customers. The grand opening of our third Samsung Experience Store today in West Edmonton Mall is another example of how we continue to take strides aligned with that commitment.”
Even though Best Buy and Future Shop revealed that they’ll be closing several location and laying off staff, Samsung will be launching 90 store-within-a-store “Experience Shops” within the chain “by the end of spring 2014.”
