The LG G Flex was the world’s first curved smartphone and was “designed to follow the curve of the human face.” The slight curve goes from top to bottom and came with a feature that LG coined as “self-healing” with a back cover that helps deter scratches.
There is no word from LG on how sales of the G Flex are doing, but here in Canada it’s Rogers that exclusively released this device. Curved and bendable devices are the future and it seems that LG will possibly evolve the G Flex with the G Flex 2 sometime “mid-Q1 2015.” According to reputable device leaker @evleaks, LG will also bring it to market “with a feature even more unique than self-healing plastic.”
No word of what this special feature is, however, back in November of last year there was another report that indicated that LG would release the G Flex 2 with a flexible rubber chassis that could make the device bend up to 90 degrees.
In the meantime, check out our LG G Flex review here.
