1Password is known as a popular and – in the wake crippling security bugs like Heartbleed – highly useful password management tool. However, the Android version of the service is far behind its iOS counterpart and sorely in need of a visual and functional update.
1Password developer Agile Bits is teasing a completely overhauled version of its app for release June 10th. Agile Bits has promised new features and more modern UI, as well as a unique promotional approach. Anyone who downloads the new version prior to August 1st will get complete access to all 1Password features. After that time, the app will enter a ‘reader mode’, with features unlockable à la carte via in-app purchase.
Agile Bits hasn’t given much detail about these new unlockable features, but feature parity with 1Password for iOS would include at least folder management and a secure in-app browser. You can get the new version when it’s available at the source link below.
