Google issued a major photo-centric update to it Google+ app for iOS today, on the same day Apple announced a number of new iOS features that make it easy to sort, store and edit your photos.
Google+ for iOS now supports auto-generated Stories, a feature that came to Android in May. Accompanying Stories is a set of photo-editing tools that is based on Snapseed, a product that Google acquired through its purchase of Nik Software.
Stories uses photos and videos to automatically generate an interactive timeline of a day, or series of days, that form an “adventure,” such as a vacation or family visit. The beauty of this cloud-based editing suite is that you can begin editing on a phone or tablet and continue on the web, and your progress is saved in the cloud. Very useful!
