This Friday, in co-ordination with the release of the Surface Pro 3, will Microsoft open the first ever Surface Café in downtown Toronto. What is being dubbed as the “next-generation coffee shop,” Microsoft is basically opening a pop-up coffee shop for the weekend to promote the new 12-inch tablet.
The space itself is located at 399 Queen Street West and aims to be a “collaborative communal environment that will also play host to a series of hands-on workshops with some of the brightest minds in music, photography, illustration and business.” The workshops, which are free, are all geared to how users can get the most out of the Surface 3, specifically around creating and productivity.
As for the coffee, this too is free, but donations are being accepted and will be given to the Kids Learning Code initiative. Those who want to see this in Montreal shall not fret as a Surface Café is heading your way on June 26th.
