Sid Meier’s Civilization has, for a long time, been the de facto turn-based strategy game across the PC and, more recently, consoles. Now, developer 2K Games is modernizing, announcing mobile-exclusive title Civilization Revolution 2.
The sequel to the console-friendly game Civilization Revolution, which was ported to iOS in 2009, Civ Rev 2 will allow players to take the helm as a revolutionary figure like Abraham Lincoln, Gandhi and Napoleon and others. The game will debut on July 2nd on iOS and arrive shortly after on Android.
The game is described thusly: “Staying true to the series, Civilization Revolution 2 will allow players to lead a civilization from the dawn of man to the modern age, and go head-to-head with history’s most intrepid leaders as they wage war, conduct diplomacy, discover new technologies, and build the most powerful empire the world has ever known in a race for ultimate supremacy.”
Update: CivRev2 is now available for a not-so-cheap $14.99 on the App Store. Anyone buying?
